4 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 cup oil
1/4 cup sour cream
Warm water, to make 2 cups
In a large bowl, measure the flour and the salt.
In a 2 cup measuring cup, add the sour cream and the oil. Add the warm water to this mixture to make 2 cups.
Make a well in the centre of the flour and add the sour cream mixture. I then mix well, using my Kitchenaid dough hook on the #2 speed setting. Knead the dough until smooth and soft.
Turn out into a lightly oiled bowl, cover and let rest for about 1 hour.
Follow the same procedure as I have described it in Petrosha’s Pyrohy Recipe.

I believe that it is important to give credit to anyone who has shared their recipes with me over the years. My sister, sister-in-law, aunts and mom have passed these recipes on to me. Thank you. There are many different recipes but the main ingredients basically stay the same as do the techniques.
