Prune Filling

1/2 cup water

1 cup dried prunes, pitted and chopped

Sugar, to taste

Add the prunes to the water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

Cool and drain. Mash or chop the prunes until very fine.

If you want a nice change, add some finely chopped walnuts or pecans to the prunes. Mix thoroughly.
